Campaigning for the upcoming assembly elections in the state of Maharashtra has reached a feverish pitch. BJP national president Amit Shah lashed out at the opposition, enumerating the achievements of the Modi government in front of the people.
Comparing the Modi government’s stern stand against terrorism and the opposition’s response to it, the BJP president said Modi government conducted air strikes and destroyed terrorist hideouts in Balakot.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also kicked off his election campaign in Maharashtra on Sunday. In an election rally in Maharashtra’s Latur district, the Congress leader expressed hope that Congress party will form the next government in the state.
More than 5 months after Rahul Gandhi quit the Congress chief’s post, the leader made his first public appearance at Maharashtra’s Latur on Sunday. Before Gandhi, no top leader had come to campaign in the state. Rahul Gandhi addressed public meetings in Latur, Chandivali and Dharavi.
