Srinagar, March 30 : At least nine shops were gutted in a devastating fire that broke out in Zainakadal in down town Srinagar causing damage to the property worth lakhs, officials said. Fire and emergency services officials said that fire broke out at around 1.03 am in a shop at Zainakadal near Gadyar Mosque market and engulfed other shops during which nine shops including Cosmetic, Hosiery and Textiles were damaged. It took nine fire tenders, who were pressed into service to douse the fire, it took more than an hour to control the leaping flames, the cause of the fire is being ascertained, they said. QAB RKM
