The Satkhira coastal area bore the major brunt of the cyclone. Large number of trees were uprooted, thatched houses were damaged and electricity cut off in the area.
Speaking about damage to crops, Dr. Enamur Rahman said that apart from Patuakhali, there hasn’t been much damage except for some loss of winter crops. He said that agriculture ministry will assess the damage after which govt will extend the necessary assistance.
With the threat of cyclone now over, normal life is slowly returning to the affected areas. The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) announced that river transport services will resume on all routes across Bangladesh on Monday. Flight operations at Chattogram

The Cyclonic storm Bulbul entered Bangladesh near Sundarbans last night and later turned into deep depression. Most parts of the country experienced light to heavy rain as the storm crossed through Bangladesh. Mongola area just north of Sundarbans received 219mm of rain while Bhola district got 147mm in the last 24 hours.
