15 more students reach Pondy from Ukraine

Puducherry, March 6 : Fifteen more students stuck in war-torn Ukraine safely reached Puducherry, Chief Minister N Rangaswamy said on Sunday. Addressing a press conference here, Rangaswamy said the on government had taken all steps to ensure that the students reach here safely and accordingly 15 more students reached Puducherry and another three were presently in the National Capital. The Chief minister said as announced by the government, all expenses to bring back the students to Puducherry from Delhi by Air was borne by the government. The three reached Delhi will soon reach Puducherry, he added. As many as 27 students from Puducherry are studying in Ukraine and the Centre is taking steps to bring back the others also. It may be noted that a girl student had reached here a few days ago. Rangaswamy said the Diwali and Pongal gifts announced by his government had already been distributed and those who failed to obtain it could get it from the ration shops. PAB CS1611
