Yuvraj Singh Celebrates Abhishek Sharmas 26th Birthday with Heartfelt Wishes

New Delhi, September 4 (Daily Kiran) : Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh extended heartfelt birthday wishes to Abhishek Sharma as he turned 26 on September 4. Yuvraj has played a significant role in mentoring Sharma, known for his explosive batting style.

In a video shared on Instagram, Yuvraj congratulated Abhishek, saying, “Sir Abhishek, it’s your birthday. What a special day! I love how you’ve become someone who shares and cares for those around you, a true leader. You always learn from your failures and are ready to work harder each time. Wishing you a year filled with runs and tons of love.”

The video showcased Yuvraj advising Abhishek against playing rash shots and humorously making him do sit-ups for his mistakes. Yuvraj was heard saying, “Tell me I won’t hit a boundary on the first ball. Abhishek does sit-ups while saying he won’t hit a boundary on the first ball.”

Their close relationship was evident in the video, which also featured light-hearted banter. It included a moment where Yuvraj, Abhishek, and Sanju Samson were seen attending a Wimbledon event together. Yuvraj asked Abhishek what he wanted, to which Sharma replied, “Your blessings,” prompting Yuvraj to respond, “Always.”

Abhishek Sharma is a regular member of the Indian T20 team and opens the batting. Like Yuvraj, he is a left-handed explosive batsman, having scored 1,629 runs in 54 innings across 56 T20 matches, including two centuries and 11 half-centuries.

He holds the record for the second-fastest century in T20 for India, having scored a hundred off just 37 balls against England last year. He is only behind former captain Rohit Sharma, who achieved a century in 35 balls against Sri Lanka in 2017.

All eyes will be on Abhishek’s performance in the upcoming T20 series against Afghanistan.
