Youths Pivotal Role in Indias Vision for Development: Satish Mahana

Lucknow, May 1: Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana stated on Friday that the Constitution of India serves as a guiding document for all. He emphasized that the ‘Developed India Youth Parliament’ is a significant initiative aimed at realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for 2047, preparing the youth for the future of India.

The state-level ‘Developed India Youth Parliament’ was inaugurated with great fanfare under the auspices of Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare Girish Yadav, and several other representatives and officials.

Addressing the gathering, Mahana remarked that the future belongs to the youth, who will determine the country’s direction and destiny. He urged young people to seriously contemplate the shape of India’s future. He stressed that it is the government’s responsibility to pave the way for development for the upcoming generation and to ensure solutions to their problems.

Mahana expressed concerns about the growing influence of technology, stating that artificial intelligence (AI) should be used for positive purposes; otherwise, it could become a destructive force. He advised the youth to use knowledge and technology wisely, focus on time management, and commit to continuous hard work. He highlighted that knowledge is meaningful only when it benefits society. He encouraged the youth to work to win, not to defeat others, and to avoid arrogance regarding their abilities.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak referred to the youth as the future of the nation, noting their immense potential and the necessity of taking risks for success. He inspired them to move forward with humility and a positive mindset. During the program, officials associated with ‘My India’ managed the arrangements. Regional Director Anil Singh and State Director Gopesh Pandey welcomed the guests. Notably, 375 young participants selected from 75 districts of the state are taking part in this state-level youth parliament.

The event will run from May 1 to May 3, 2026, where participants will share their views on the topic ‘Central Budget 2026: Strengthening the Path for Indian Youth Towards Developed India 2047.’ Winners will have the opportunity to represent Uttar Pradesh at the national level. Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana wished the participants success, expressing confidence that India will once again become a guiding nation for the world, with the youth playing a crucial role in achieving this goal.
