
Surat, April 5: The Metas Youth Marathon 2026 took place at the Metas Adventist School Ground in Surat, Gujarat. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi flagged off the marathon, encouraging the youth to participate. A large number of young people joined the event, showcasing their commitment to health and fitness. The Metas Group honored the Deputy Chief Minister with a shawl and a bouquet.
The marathon commenced at 5:30 AM, attracting students from across Surat. Participants emphasized the importance of such events for youth and health. Organizers noted that the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Sanghvi energized the participants, leading to a significant increase in registrations.
Participant Vishpi Kharadi remarked, “The only thing that stays with us until the end is our body. We must work on improving our lifestyle by incorporating sports and fitness. This is the essence of the Fit India Mission. The Metas Marathon is a small initiative in the fitness chain. Participating in the marathon is the first step towards fitness.”
Anil Kumar, CEO of the Metas Group, stated, “The purpose of organizing the marathon is to raise health awareness among people. Additionally, we aim to unite students from Gujarat. The Deputy Chief Minister’s presence boosted the enthusiasm among the youth, resulting in over half of the participants registering due to his involvement.”
Notably, the Metas Youth Marathon featured races of 3, 7, and 12 kilometers, all aimed at promoting fitness among the youth. The marathon began at 5:30 AM from the Metas Adventist School Ground. Furthermore, the Surat Kids Marathon is scheduled for May 3, 2026, at VNSGU.
