New Delhi, April 29: A tragic incident occurred late Tuesday night in Karma village, located in the Pipratand police station area of Palamu district, Jharkhand. Criminals shot and killed a man, Rajmuni Pathak, at close range, resulting in his immediate death.
According to reports, Rajmuni was sleeping at home with his wife and two sons when unknown assailants arrived. They lured him outside under the pretense of needing his assistance. Once he stepped out, the attackers took him approximately 200 meters away and shot him in the head. After committing the crime, they fled into the darkness.
Family members informed the police that Rajmuni had an ongoing land dispute with someone in the area. Due to several wedding celebrations taking place in the village and surrounding areas, the family could not identify the individuals who called him outside.
Upon receiving news of the incident, Pipratand police station chief Nilesh Kumar arrived at the scene with his team. The police have begun the process of sending the body for post-mortem examination. The station chief stated that initial investigations suggest a land dispute may be the motive, but authorities are thoroughly examining all angles, including personal enmity. The village of Karma is currently experiencing a somber and tense atmosphere following the incident.
