Young Man Found Murdered in Ranchis Khelgaon Area

Ranchi, February 19: A young man’s bloodied body was discovered in the Khelgaon police station area on Thursday. The victim had suffered severe injuries to his head and face, inflicted by a stone. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Asif from the Lower Bazaar police area in Ranchi.

Witnesses reported seeing the body near some bushes in the Gadi village area, causing panic in the locality. The crime scene was marked by a significant amount of blood, suggesting that the murder was carried out in a particularly brutal manner. A motorcycle was also found a short distance from the body, which had bloodstains on it.

Police suspect that the motorcycle may belong to the victim or that it was used by the assailants during the crime. Upon receiving the information, Sub-Inspector Kuldeep Kumar and his team arrived at the scene. Given the seriousness of the situation, a forensic team was called in to collect evidence.

Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage from nearby cameras to identify the perpetrators and trace their movements. The body has been sent to RIMS for post-mortem, where some individuals were able to confirm the victim’s identity. Officials stated that the investigation is considering all angles, including personal enmity, old grudges, or premeditated murder. Following the identification, police are gathering information from Asif’s family.
