Yogi2.0: CM meets his new council

Lucknow, March 25 : Immediately after taking his oath of office, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with his council of ministers where he explained his vision of development and what Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected from them. “After becoming minister your responsibility has increased manifold. There is expectation from the people and we should be ready to fulfill those aspirations of the masses,” Adityanath told ministers. It was a sort of introductory meeting for the ministers, as many of them were first time MLAs and some were not even members of either House — Legislative Assembly or Legislative Council. Sources claimed that senior party office bearers were also present at the meeting. A senior minister who attended the meeting said Yogi Adityanath emphasised on the good work that went into retaining the historic verdict. He said good work must continued. “Chief Minister emphasized on performance and asked the ministers to fulfill commitments made during canvassing,” he said. The meeting was followed by dinner. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya earlier said this government, too, will fulfill every promise it has made in the Sankalp Patra (election manifesto). The government will follow the ideology of “sabka saath, sabka vikas” and “there will be no partiality in implementation of welfare schemes”. Maurya, who was retained as Adityanath’s deputy, also claimed that “now the target is to win 75 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls” from Uttar Pradesh (80). Cabinet Minister Jitin Prasada said that the new council of ministers were committed to work for the welfare of the poor. “Our intention is reflected in the way the council of ministers attended this meeting,” he said.
