Yogi Adityanath Celebrates Ayodhyas Grand Diwali Festival, Emphasizing Values of Sacrifice and Dignity
Uttar Pradeshs CM Yogi Adityanath highlights the significance of Ayodhyas Diwali festival, promoting hope, sacrifice, and community spirit.

Lucknow, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has extended his warm wishes for Diwali to the residents of the state on the occasion of the tenth grand Deepotsav in Ayodhya. In his message, conveyed through “Yogi Ki Pati,” he noted that the sacred city of Ayodhya is prepared to welcome this significant celebration.
Deepotsav is not merely a festival of lights; it symbolizes the transition from darkness to light, despair to hope, and the revival of eternal consciousness. The Chief Minister emphasized that this auspicious occasion, linked to Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya, sends a powerful message of positivity, hope, and dignity in life. He remarked that even a small flame can ignite new hope in the midst of profound darkness.
Adityanath highlighted that the relationship between Deepotsav and our traditions extends beyond rituals; it is deeply rooted in life values. He referenced the Ramayana, recalling how Bharat renounced royal comforts for 14 years, placing Lord Ram’s sandals on the throne to govern Ayodhya. This narrative teaches that true power is not about authority but responsibility. The festival of Deepotsav embodies the principles of sacrifice, dignity, and dedication on a global stage.
The CM described the breathtaking sight of illuminated lamps along the banks of the Sarayu River and the thousands of lights on Ram Ki Paidi, likening it to the Milky Way descending upon Ayodhya. Aerial displays via drones and the participation of artists add to the festival’s grandeur. He asserted that Uttar Pradesh, by harnessing faith and public participation, has established itself as a vibrant festival state. “Where there is light, there is security; where there is security, there are investment opportunities; and where there is investment, there is development,” he stated. This development paves the way for employment, happiness, and prosperity, forming the foundation of the festival spirit.
Describing Deepotsav as a confluence of faith and economy, Adityanath noted that the event creates job and income opportunities for potters, flower vendors, hoteliers, and local merchants. He urged residents to brighten the Diwali of underprivileged families in their neighborhoods by sharing diyas, sweets, and new clothes, emphasizing that this is the true spirit of the festival. The CM particularly appealed to the youth to embrace positivity and steer clear of negativity.
He encouraged young people to connect with positive energy like the light of a lamp and maintain cleanliness in their surroundings, as cleanliness is synonymous with prosperity. Additionally, he urged residents to support local artisans by purchasing their lamps and products. Adityanath invited everyone to visit Ayodhya with family and friends to witness the divine beauty of the grand Deepotsav. He expressed his wish for happiness in every home, goodwill in every heart, and a path to progress for all.
