Xiaomi Unveils Redmi Note 15 Pro and Pro+ with 200MP Cameras and Large Batteries

Xiaomi has launched two new smartphones in its Redmi Note series: the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+. These mid-range devices come equipped with impressive 200MP main cameras, large battery capacities, and vibrant OLED displays.

Both models feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K CrystalRes AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2560Hz touch sampling rate, ensuring smooth visuals and responsive touch experience. The displays offer peak brightness up to 3200 nits and support Dolby Vision and HDR10+ for enhanced viewing. They are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and include advanced wet touch responsiveness, 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and DC dimming to reduce eye strain.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ sports a slightly curved display for a premium look, while the Redmi Note 15 Pro has a flat screen. Both phones carry high ingress protection ratings, including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K, making them resistant to dust, splashes, heavy rain, and temporary immersion. They also have SGS Premium Performance Certification for drop resistance.

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 2.2 storage. The Redmi Note 15 Pro features the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra processor, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. Both run on Android 15 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 skin. Connectivity options include WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos, and an infrared sensor.

Battery capacity is a highlight for the series. The Note 15 Pro+ comes with a 6500mAh Silicon-Carbon battery supporting 100W wired fast charging. The Note 15 Pro offers a slightly larger 6580mAh SiC battery with 45W fast charging. Both models support 22.5W reverse wired charging, allowing users to charge other devices. Xiaomi claims the battery system retains 80% capacity even after 1,600 charge cycles, equivalent to about six years of regular use.

Photography features include a 200MP primary camera with a large Samsung HPE 1/1.4-inch sensor, capable of optical 2x and 4x zoom. An 8MP ultra-wide lens is also present on the rear. For selfies, the Note 15 Pro+ has a 32MP front camera, while the Note 15 Pro includes a 20MP front shooter. AI-powered imaging tools enhance portraits, motion shots, and editing options.

In India, the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G starts at Rs 29,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs 31,999 for 8GB + 256GB. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G is priced from Rs 37,999 for 8GB + 256GB and goes up to Rs 43,999 for 12GB + 512GB. Pre-orders are available on Amazon, Xiaomi’s official website, and authorized stores. Sales begin on 4th February 2026, with an instant bank discount of up to Rs 3,000 on select credit cards. Colour options include Carbon Black, Silver Ash, and Mirage Blue for the Note 15 Pro, and Carbon Black, Coffee Mocha, and Mirage Blue for the Note 15 Pro+.
