Xiaomi to End Software Updates for 19 Devices in 2026

Xiaomi is known for offering one of the most extensive software update policies among Android smartphone brands, often supporting its devices longer than many competitors. However, even the best update commitments have limits, and 19 Xiaomi devices are approaching their end-of-life (EOL) status in 2026.

These devices will stop receiving all kinds of software updates, including Android OS upgrades, HyperOS updates, and critical security patches after their respective EOL dates. The complete list of Xiaomi devices set to lose software support in 2026 is as follows:

Xiaomi devices

  • Xiaomi 12 – March 2026
  • Xiaomi 12 Pro – March 2026
  • Xiaomi 12 Lite – July 2026
  • Xiaomi 12T – October 2026

  • Redmi Note 12 Pro – April 2026
  • Redmi 12C – March 2026
  • Redmi 13C – November 2026
  • Redmi A2 – March 2026

POCO devices

  • POCO C65 – November 2026
  • POCO F5 – May 2026
  • POCO F5 Pro – May 2026
  • POCO X5 Pro 5G – February 2026

This list has been compiled after reviewing official software support information from Xiaomi’s support page. Users can visit the official page to verify software support status for their Xiaomi devices.

Once a device reaches EOL, it will no longer receive updates. Although the phone will continue to function, it will miss out on security fixes for newly discovered vulnerabilities. Users with important data on these devices are advised to consider upgrading to newer models to ensure better security and continued software support.

For those interested, Xiaomi offers some models with promises of four Android OS updates or six years of software support. Choosing the latest models ensures longer update support and improved device longevity.

HyperOS 3 Update May Still Arrive

Despite approaching EOL, some devices may still receive the HyperOS 3 update. Xiaomi has recently started rolling out HyperOS 3 based on Android 15, expanding it beyond devices running Android 16. Internal builds for devices like POCO F5 and F5 Pro have been spotted, with the update expected to reach more models in the coming months.
