
Beijing, January 5: Chinese President Xi Jinping has extended his congratulations to Mamadi Doumbouya on being elected as the President of the Republic of Guinea.
President Xi highlighted that Guinea was the first sub-Saharan African country to establish diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China after its founding. He noted that both sides have consistently adhered to principles of mutual respect, equality, and mutual benefit. They have supported each other on issues concerning their core interests and key concerns, fostering fruitful cooperation for shared development.
President Xi expressed that he places great importance on the development of China-Guinea relations. He looks forward to working closely with President Doumbouya to further advance the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries, enhance the welfare of their peoples, and contribute more to the unity of the Global South.
