Women and Men Must Walk Together for a Developed India: Rubal Nagi

Mumbai, June 27: Social activist, author, and educator Rubal Nagi shared her insights on women’s empowerment, their increasing roles in society, and participation in male-dominated fields. She emphasized that Indian women are making their mark in every sector, and it’s time to view gender equality not just as a comparison between men and women, but as true equality.

Rubal Nagi highlighted the importance of connecting women across different regions of the country and providing them opportunities to learn from each other. She believes that when women connect, share experiences, and uplift one another, positive societal changes occur.

Discussing women’s empowerment, she stated that women’s contributions are crucial in a country like India, especially in areas traditionally seen as male-dominated. However, she clarified that the mindset of competition between women and men is misguided.

She remarked, “If a field is labeled male-dominated, we must remember that it is a mother who gives birth to those men. Therefore, we need to move beyond a mentality of comparison.”

Rubal Nagi has always believed that women should not race to outdo men but should advance together, shoulder to shoulder. Only then can the dream of a developed India be realized.

She noted that there is no field left where women are not showcasing their talents. Whether in the military, politics, corporate sector, medicine, engineering, architecture, or any other profession, women are making a strong presence. She emphasized that it entirely depends on women’s choices and capabilities regarding which fields they wish to pursue.

Rubal Nagi stated that due to continuous efforts and changing mindsets, the gap in opportunities between women and men is rapidly narrowing, and this gap will continue to decrease in the future. Today’s daughters and women do not hold the same mindset as before. They are becoming financially independent while managing home responsibilities.

She added that Indian daughters have not only made their mark in the country but have also gained recognition worldwide, bringing pride to the nation. This is one of the greatest achievements of Indian women, and their roles will only strengthen in the times to come.
