Woman Allegedly Gang-Raped on Moving Bus in Nangloi, Two Arrested

New Delhi, May 14: A woman was allegedly gang-raped on a moving bus in the Nangloi area of the national capital. Following her complaint, police swiftly arrested two suspects in connection with the case. The investigation is currently ongoing.

The victim reported that she was assaulted on a private bus, which had curtains drawn. She boarded the bus from the Rani Bagh area. The incident occurred in Outer Delhi’s Nangloi.

The victim, a resident of Pitampura, works in a factory in Mangolpuri. On the night of May 11, while walking home from work, she encountered a sleeper bus that stopped near the B-Block bus stand in Saraswati Vihar. It is alleged that she asked a man standing by the bus door for the time, after which he forcibly pulled her inside.

According to police, the suspects drove the bus towards Nangloi, where the assault reportedly took place. The woman is married and has three children.

After the incident, she filed a complaint at the Nangloi police station. Officials stated that after a medical examination and receiving her complaint, a case was registered, and a team was assigned for further action.

Delhi police have apprehended two suspects, identified as the bus driver and conductor. They have also seized the bus involved in the incident. Authorities confirmed that the Delhi police are investigating every angle of the case.

This incident has once again raised serious concerns regarding women’s safety in Delhi.
