With this speed petrol will cost Rs 275 per liter by year end: Akhilesh

Lucknow, April 2 : Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday took a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) governments at the center and in Uttar Pradesh and said that from almost 80 paisa per liter hike in petrol price daily it seems that petrol prices will reach Rs 275 per liter by the year end. Akhilesh tweeted, “The people are saying that if the petrol prices continue to rise at the rate of 80 paisa per day or around Rs 24 per month so when the polls will be held in November-December, the prices in these seven months will increase by Rs 175 per liter that means petrol price which is Rs 100 per cent liter will reach Rs 275 per cent. This is the mathematics of BJP’s inflation.” It may be noted that prices of petrol and diesel are continuously increasing from the last few days and it has crossed Rs 100 marks in several parts of the state. Opposition parties including Congress, SP and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) are continuously trying to push the government in the corner on the hike in prices of petrol, cooking gas and other essential edible items.
