Wipro tumbles on reporting marginal fall in Q3 consolidated net profit

Wipro is currently trading at Rs. 652.20, down by 39.15 points or 5.66% from its previous closing of Rs. 691.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 662.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 666.00 and Rs. 648.00 respectively. So far 1192647 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 739.80 on 14-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 398.00 on 25-Mar-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 721.55 and Rs. 648.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 356559.38 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.02%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.74% and 12.60% respectively.

Wipro has reported a fall of 5.60% in its net profit at Rs 2465 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 2611.30 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 19.30% at Rs 15,741.30 crore for Q3FY22 as compared Rs 13,195.10 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a marginal fall of 0.85% in its net profit at Rs 2972.30 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 2997.80 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 27.37% at Rs 20,791.50 crore for Q3FY22 as compared Rs 16,324.10 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
