Srinagar, March 6 : The Meteorological Centre forecast of widespread light to moderate rain, snow and traces on March 7 while scattered to fairly widespread light rain over Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours. Cloudy sky with a short spell of sunshine coupled with cold conditions prevailed in Kashmir valley with a forecast of widespread light to moderate rain on Sunday. A western Disturbance is likely to affect Jammu and Kashmir tonight to March 8th can cause widespread light to moderate rain and snow mainly over higher reaches. The maximum and minimum temperature all across the Kashmir valley is above normal on Sunday. Srinagar the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir has a low of 5.8 degree Celsius which is 3.6 degree above normal while the maximum temperature recorded as 14.7 degree Celsius also 1.6 degree above normal during this period of the season. Pahalgam in south Kashmir recorded a low of minus 2.3 degree Celsius, Qazigund 0.9 degree Celsius and Kokernag 2.7 degree Celsius on the previous night. Ski resort of Gulmarg has a low of minus 4.5 degree Celsius while Kupwara recorded a low of 1.0 degree Celsius on Sunday. QAB GNK
