Meta’s popular instant messaging service, WhatsApp keeps testing and developing new features to improve user experience. Recently, the company started testing a new interface for call notifications and is developing a new email-based security feature for user protection. Now, the company is reportedly working on an option which will allow users to report Channels.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, the option was discovered in the latest update in WhatsApp’s Google Play Beta Program. This Channels report option is expected to be available for users in the coming days.
Apart from this, WhatsApp is also testing a tweaked interface for Android beta users. The redesigned interface includes the bottom navigation bar and is now available to more beta testers.
Whatsapp already offers users a feature called “Request Account Info”. With this feature, users can download a report of their WhatsApp account which provides information and settings about how to access or port to a different app.
As mentioned in the official WhatsApp FAQ, this report does not contain information regarding their channels and channel updates. However, WhatsApp’s latest beta update includes hints about the company developing a separate feature that will allow users to get information about their channels. This feature is expected to be available in a future update of the app.
