Mumbai, May 9: The selection of Suvendu Adhikari as the leader of the legislative party has brought joy among BJP workers and officials in West Bengal. BJP leaders are congratulating Adhikari, marking a new beginning for the party in the state.
Amit Satam, the BJP president in Mumbai, stated, “This is a significant day for the people of West Bengal and all of India. Suvendu Adhikari will take oath as the Chief Minister of West Bengal tomorrow.”
Central Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, speaking from Mumbai, remarked, “Under the leadership of the Prime Minister and Home Minister, we have achieved a historic victory in West Bengal. This victory belongs to the people of West Bengal. I congratulate Suvendu Adhikari.”
BJP Rajya Sabha member Dinesh Sharma emphasized, “Suvendu Adhikari is a skilled organizer. We have worked extensively together, and I have witnessed his courage during his travels. Despite facing violence from anti-social elements of the Trinamool Congress in some areas, he bravely stood with the workers. Suvendu Adhikari is a dedicated worker who has put in tremendous effort. I wish him all the best.”
Sharma also mentioned, “With new plans and renewed enthusiasm, the mantra ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas’ and action against goons can transform Bengal into a state that provides employment for the youth. The government will work in this direction.”
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak added, “The oath-taking ceremony of the West Bengal government will be held tomorrow, and I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Suvendu Adhikari.”
His counterpart, Keshav Prasad Maurya, noted, “Suvendu Adhikari has been chosen as the leader of the legislative party and has also presented a claim to form the government before the Governor.”
Former Union Minister and BJP leader Ajay Kumar Mishra remarked, “The Bharatiya Janata Party, or more accurately its predecessor, the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, was founded by its first president Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, who hailed from Kolkata. He made significant contributions to West Bengal’s politics before and after independence. In this context, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party have always aimed to establish a government in West Bengal.”
