West Bengals New Government Promises Legal Action Against Illegal Activities: Debjit Sarkar

Kolkata, May 17: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has signaled a strong response against irregularities that occurred during the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in West Bengal. BJP spokesperson Debjit Sarkar stated on Sunday that a “bulldozer” will be used against the wrongdoings of the TMC government. The new administration is committed to taking legal action against illegal activities across all sectors.

Sarkar emphasized, “Illegal activities have taken place in every sector in West Bengal. The government will take necessary actions. The public has given us a majority to end the TMC’s syndicate rule and jungle raj. All necessary steps will be taken democratically at the administrative level.”

He welcomed Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari’s decision to replace the ‘Bengal World’ logo with the ‘Ashoka Pillar’. Sarkar remarked, “We have been advocating for this since 2018. The Ashoka Pillar is a symbol of India’s pride and should be present in every government space. The Bengal World logo cannot represent just one state; the country is made up of all states.”

Regarding the RG Kar incident, he stated, “The decision taken by Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari is absolutely correct. The investigation had been stalled. Now, a thorough investigation will take place, and the guilty will be punished.”

On the suspension of three IPS officers, Rajesh Kumar commented, “It was the public’s demand, and the Chief Minister acted accordingly. It is appropriate to take action against those officers who obstructed the investigation and denied justice to the victim.”

He praised Suvendu Adhikari, saying, “The government is doing its job, and Suvendu Adhikari is executing it well. He understands every detail of the administration. His popularity has increased a hundredfold in just a few days.”

On the ‘Bengal World’ logo controversy, BJP MLA Arjun Singh also stated, “The logo provided by Suvendu Adhikari is the best and should be adopted.”
