
Kolkata, May 8: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) announced the results for the Class 10 (Secondary) board examinations for 2026 on Friday. According to the released results, a total of 86.83% of students successfully passed the board exams this year.
Students who appeared for the exams and have been awaiting their results can now check their marks on the official board website or through the DigiLocker app.
In this year’s Class 10 board exams, 131 students secured a place in the top 10, comprising 103 boys and 20 girls. Notably, only 1.46% of candidates scored above 90%. Boys outperformed girls in this year’s examinations.
Among the top performers, Abhinav Bhadra achieved the highest score in the state with 99.71%. Priyatosh Mukherjee followed in second place with 99.43%. Three students, Ankan Kumar, Saurya Jana, and Mainak Mandal, shared the third position, each scoring 99.29%.
To check the West Bengal Class 10 board results, candidates should first visit the WBBSE official website. After reaching the homepage, click on the link for ‘Madhyama Examination (SE) Results – Year 2026.’ A new page will open where students need to enter their roll number and date of birth. The results will then be displayed on the screen. After checking the results, it is advisable to download the mark sheet and keep a printed copy for future reference.
This year, the Class 10 board examinations were conducted from February 2 to February 12 across more than 2,500 centers in the state, with approximately 9.71 lakh students participating. Compared to last year, this year’s results showed a slight improvement, with the overall pass percentage rising from 86.56%.
