Weather Outlook for South Bengal: Clear Skies Ahead, No Heavy Rains Expected
Kolkatas weather remains clear next week, with no heavy rainfall expected, according to the Alipore Meteorological Centre.

Kolkata, September 27 (Daily Kiran) : The Alipore Meteorological Centre in Kolkata announced on Sunday that the current deep depression will no longer impact West Bengal. As a result, no heavy rainfall is forecast for Kolkata or other districts in South Bengal over the coming week.
There may be light rain in one or two areas, but significant precipitation is unlikely. The deep depression, which had formed near the Odisha and Andhra Pradesh border, has transitioned into a normal pressure system. It is now moving northwest, situated near the borders of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Meteorologists anticipate that it will weaken into a low-pressure area by Sunday night.
While the surrounding regions are experiencing rainfall due to this weather system, West Bengal is not expected to face heavy rain or storms directly related to it. The meteorological department confirmed that the monsoon has not yet completely withdrawn from the country.
Light to moderate rain may continue sporadically in West Bengal districts until next week, but there is no forecast for heavy rainfall or new weather-related disasters. No weather warnings have been issued for districts in either North or South Bengal.
The deep depression has caused rough sea conditions, prompting authorities to advise fishermen to avoid venturing out until Saturday. However, no further warnings have been issued for the sea beyond that date.
A meteorological official noted that while sporadic rain may occur in all districts, including Kolkata, clear skies will prevail, ushering in a sense of autumn. This shift in weather may lead to a drop in nighttime temperatures.
On Sunday morning, Kolkata recorded a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius, which is one degree above normal. The maximum temperature on Saturday was 30.6 degrees Celsius, slightly below normal by 1.9 degrees.
