
Beijing, March 3: At the WTT Singapore Smash held on March 1, Chinese players Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha claimed victory in the men’s and women’s singles titles, respectively.
Sun Yingsha defeated her teammate Chen Yi 4-1 in the semifinals. Meanwhile, Wang Manyu overcame German player Sabine Winter with the same score. The final match between Sun Yingsha and Wang Manyu was a thrilling six-game battle, where Sun ultimately emerged victorious with a score of 4-2. After the match, Sun expressed satisfaction with her overall performance, noting that the match against Wang Manyu was extremely close, with both players giving their all.
In the men’s singles, Wang Chuqin faced Felix Lebrun in the semifinals. After losing the first game, he rallied to win the next three games, securing a 4-1 victory. In the final, Wang Chuqin defeated Lin Yun-ru from Chinese Taipei 4-0 to clinch the championship.
