Pune, July 2: A vintage video of Siya Goyal, the prime suspect in the alleged murder of Ketan Agarwal, has gone viral on social media. In this clip, she is seen using profanity over the phone while at a pub. The emergence of this video has added a new twist to this high-profile case that has captured national attention.
The video is believed to have been recorded in December 2025, showing Siya holding what appears to be a beer bottle while engaged in a heated phone conversation. During the call, she can be heard saying, “First, he deceives me, then he calls me.”
Since the clip surfaced, public interest in the investigation has surged. Alongside this video, several old photos and clips of Siya and co-accused Chetan Chaudhary have also come to light. Reports indicate that one such video shows them together at a cricket league match just months before the alleged crime. However, investigators have not officially linked these videos to the murder case.
This case revolves around the death of 26-year-old real estate businessman Ketan Agarwal. He was reportedly pushed off a cliff at Lohagad Fort in Pune on June 18, leading to his death. Ketan and Siya were engaged and were set to marry in November of this year.
According to Pune rural police, both Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary are accused of conspiring to murder Ketan Agarwal. They were arrested shortly after the incident and will remain in police custody until July 3. During this time, authorities are gathering evidence and examining various aspects of the case.
Meanwhile, the police have begun investigating Ketan’s mobile phone. They noted that Siya had possession of the phone shortly after Ketan’s death, later returning it to his family. However, officials have not clarified whether any data was accessed, altered, or deleted during that time. They also did not specify if any suspect attempted to tamper with the phone or its data.
As part of the ongoing investigation, Pune rural police reenacted the incident at Lohagad Fort on Wednesday. Officers used a fiber dummy matching Ketan’s height and weight to simulate the fall into a 300-foot deep gorge.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Gajanan Tompe from the Lonavala division stated that the reenactment was conducted based on information gathered during the investigation. He said, “Today, we brought the accused to the scene at Lohagad Fort and reenacted the entire incident based on the information obtained during the investigation. The inquiry is ongoing, and all necessary facts will be presented to the court. We are recording statements from all individuals involved, and this process will continue.”
Earlier this week, police also examined the walking pattern of co-accused Chetan Chaudhary to corroborate facts related to the case. On Monday, the Vadgaon Maval court extended the police custody of Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary for an additional five days. The police requested more time to gather evidence, interview witnesses, and complete remaining forensic investigations.
