Violent Clash Over Boundary Wall in Begusarai Leaves Four Injured

Patna, July 29: A violent dispute erupted over the construction of a boundary wall near Chandwara village in Begusarai district, Bihar, on Wednesday. The altercation escalated into gunfire between two groups, resulting in injuries to four individuals.

According to local residents, a heated argument regarding the boundary wall quickly turned into a brawl, during which both sides reportedly fired shots. Eyewitnesses claimed that around 20 rounds were discharged, causing panic in the area.

The injured have been identified as Sindhu Kumar, Dheeraj, Dhanuveer, and Sanoj. They are currently receiving treatment at various hospitals and are reported to be under medical supervision.

Witnesses allege that the assailants arrived on 11 motorcycles. During the clash, villagers managed to capture two of the alleged attackers and assaulted them before police arrived.

Upon receiving news of the incident, officers from the Muffasil police station rushed to the scene. After considerable effort, they rescued two injured individuals from the angry mob. They were subsequently admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment.

Police from the Singhaul police station also arrived, and Superintendent Manish visited the area to assess the situation and oversee the investigation.

During the operation, police seized the 11 motorcycles allegedly used by those involved in the incident and began questioning local residents as part of their investigation.

Authorities stated that all aspects of the case are being thoroughly examined. They assured the public that those responsible would be identified and prosecuted according to the law.

As a precaution, a police contingent has been deployed in the village. Tensions remain high in the area, but officials have indicated that they are closely monitoring the situation.

Police officers are in the process of taking statements from the injured. Based on their accounts and formal complaints, an FIR will be filed against the attackers under relevant sections, including attempted murder.
