Chennai, March 4: Vijay, the leader and actor turned politician, is set to participate in a significant executive committee meeting of the Tamil Nadu party, TVK, on Wednesday in Thanjavur. This meeting aims to strengthen the party’s organizational network ahead of the upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly elections.
The meeting will take place on Pappadi Division Road near Thanjavur, involving district-level officials and executive committee members of the party. Sources indicate that Vijay is expected to issue crucial directives regarding party activities and organizational strengthening during the meeting. This event is viewed as part of TVK’s broader strategy to solidify its organizational base, particularly in the politically significant Delta region.
In recent months, Vijay has conducted several large public rallies across various districts. As part of the next phase of political mobilization, these rallies are now being transformed into well-planned meetings with party administrators and officials to streamline the party’s machinery ahead of the elections.
Extensive arrangements have been made for participants at the venue. Considering the intense heat, organizers have temporarily arranged for shade and seating for attendees. Drinking water, medical assistance, and other basic facilities will also be available at the event site.
Volunteers working under the organizing committee have been deployed to assist participants and manage logistics. Anticipating a large crowd of eager supporters, authorities have implemented comprehensive security measures.
A significant number of police officers will be stationed to maintain law and order during the event. Despite the heavy police presence, three special police teams have also been assigned to prevent enthusiastic fans from entering the main event area and disrupting the program.
Vijay will travel from Chennai to Tiruchirappalli (Trichy) before heading to the event site in Thanjavur by road. During the program, he is likely to address the gathering from a promotional bus parked within the meeting premises.
A separate stage has also been specially arranged for him. Authorities have advised pregnant women, the elderly, and those unwell to refrain from attending the gathering due to the crowd and heat.
The event will be broadcast live on television and social media platforms. The police have granted permission for the meeting under 52 conditions.
Meanwhile, TVK leadership has reportedly issued strict instructions to district-level officials and members of its IT wing to refrain from commenting on the divorce proceedings involving Vijay and his wife, Sangeeta Soranalingam.
