Vellore, February 23: Vijay, the president of the Tamilaga Vetti Kazhagam (TVK), will address a meeting of party workers in Vellore on Monday. Arrangements have been made to ensure the event runs smoothly and securely.

Strict protocols have been implemented for the gathering, which will take place from 12 PM to 3 PM at Kollamangalam. According to party sources, approximately 4,900 executive members have been granted permission to attend the meeting.

Entry will be restricted to those possessing special access tickets with QR codes. Party officials stated that the QR code system aims to streamline the entry process, prevent overcrowding, and ensure that only authorized executives participate in the closed-door meeting.

TVK General Secretary N. Anand clarified in a statement that, for security reasons, certain categories of individuals will not be issued entry passes. Pregnant women, children, school students, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and those with pre-existing health conditions are advised against attending the meeting. He emphasized that these restrictions are purely precautionary, following an unfortunate incident during a recent TVK event in Erode, where a person reportedly died. Consequently, the party has implemented additional security measures.

To address comfort, the organizers have set up a large tent at the Vellore venue to protect attendees from the heat and provide better comfort during the three-hour session. Enhanced security plans also include medical assistance and basic emergency arrangements.

Late Sunday night, Vijay’s campaign vehicle arrived in Vellore under tight security. Party workers gathered in small groups to catch a glimpse of his vehicle. This executive meeting in Vellore follows a similar significant event in Salem. TVK is ramping up its organizational activities in preparation for the 2026 assembly elections.

Insiders indicate that the meeting will focus on strengthening booth-level structures, reviewing campaign strategies, and activating district-level officials. Amid rising enthusiasm among workers, Vijay’s speech is expected to set the direction for the party’s next phase of political mobilization in Northern Tamil Nadu.
