
Bhopal, July 2: A 14-year-old girl who ran away from home due to a family dispute has been safely reunited with her family, thanks to the vigilance of the checking staff of the West Central Railway in Bhopal.
According to official reports from the railway, during duty on train number 18235, the Bhopal-Bilaspur Chhattisgarh Express, TTE Vijay Shrivastava noticed the girl traveling alone in Sleeper Coach S-2. His suspicion led him to question her.
During the conversation, the girl revealed that she had left home following a dispute. Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, TTE Shrivastava promptly informed the railway control. Following their instructions, the girl was safely handed over to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Vidisha Railway Station, along with the necessary memo, and her family was contacted for her safe return.
Senior DCM Saurabh Kataria praised TTE Vijay Shrivastava for his alertness, quick decision-making, and human sensitivity. He emphasized that railway staff remain vigilant not only for safe and smooth train operations but also for the safety of passengers, especially women and children. Thanks to their timely action, the safety of a minor girl was ensured.
