Madrid, March 28: Real Madrid star Fede Valverde recently spoke to the press during Uruguay’s training camp. He shared his thoughts on his current form, highlighted by scoring Uruguay’s only goal against England at Wembley last night.
“I’m truly enjoying moments like the recent one, scoring a hat-trick in a game where I never imagined I would net more than two goals. For me, it is a unique moment. This achievement motivates me to work harder and stay focused on football, which I believe is essential for my position in the National Team,” he stated.
Valverde was also inquired about his preferred position on the field. “I like to assist the team. Sometimes they need a right-back, and I’m there to help. Other times, they require a winger, and I’ll step up. I always aim to support wherever the coaching staff needs me. I train daily to ensure I perform well when I enter the field,” he added.
However, Valverde will face a suspension when Real Madrid visits Mallorca right after the break. He plans to take a few days off to stay fresh for the crucial quarterfinal tie against Bayern Munich.
