New Delhi, May 20: Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has taken the IPL 2026 by storm with his explosive batting, leaving opposing bowlers in fear and fans and analysts in awe. On Tuesday, during a match against Lucknow Super Giants in Jaipur, the Rajasthan Royals opener scored a staggering 93 runs off just 38 balls, leading his team to a 7-wicket victory. Following this remarkable performance, former Indian all-rounder Sanjay Bangar praised Suryavanshi’s skills.
Bangar expressed that he often finds himself at a loss for words when watching Suryavanshi play.
Speaking on JioStar, Bangar stated, “I don’t have enough words to describe this boy’s potential. I can’t do justice to his talent. Some of his shots were simply outstanding. He consistently hit over the cover boundary, whether facing pace or spin, and whenever the ball was short, he executed brilliantly.”
He further added, “The Lucknow Super Giants lineup featured bowlers bowling at 145 kilometers per hour. This did not faze him at all. He truly delivered a masterclass with his innings. It was incredible entertainment. Wherever he goes and plays, he will undoubtedly attract crowds.”
Vaibhav Suryavanshi has astonished the world with his fearless and explosive batting. He currently holds the Orange Cap in IPL 2026, having scored 579 runs in 13 matches, including one century and three half-centuries. Suryavanshi has hit 53 sixes this season, setting a record for the most sixes by an Indian batsman in a single IPL season.
