Uttarakhand Minister Rekha Arya Hospitalized After Filing FIR Against Husband

Uttarakhand Minister Rekha Arya was hospitalized following health issues after filing serious allegations against her husband.

Dehradun, October 15 (Daily Kiran) : Uttarakhand’s Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya has been admitted to KMC Hospital in Dehradun after her health deteriorated. This incident coincided with her filing a First Information Report (FIR) against her husband, Girdhari Lal Sahu, alleging serious misconduct.

Following a sudden decline in her health, Arya was taken to the hospital on Indira Road, where a team of doctors is currently evaluating her condition. A video of her in tears has gone viral on social media, in which she shares her distressing experiences.

In her complaint, Arya accused her husband of concealing his first marriage, revealing that he is already married and has children. The FIR alleges that he has been involved in illicit relationships with other women. Arya claims that when she confronted him, he resorted to physical violence, verbal abuse, and even threats to her life. She also stated that he used derogatory terms in front of staff at their government residence to humiliate her.

Additionally, Arya alleged that her husband forged her signature and created false documents to falsely show her resignation from her position as a company director, a claim she denies.

One of the most alarming accusations involves an audio recording that Arya claims to have received recently. In this recording, her husband is purportedly plotting to kill her while conversing with another woman. This revelation has raised serious concerns for her and her children’s safety, prompting her to seek police assistance.

The Cantt police have registered a case based on Arya’s complaint, invoking relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

After filing the FIR, Arya released a video on social media urging women to speak out against domestic violence instead of suffering in silence.
