Uttarakhand Chief Minister Inspects Healthcare Facilities in Pithoragarh

Pithoragarh, May 8: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the B.D. Pandey District Hospital in Pithoragarh after concluding his district tour. During his visit, he inspected the hospital’s healthcare facilities and toured the emergency and children’s wards, meeting with admitted patients and their families to wish them a speedy recovery.

The Chief Minister gathered information about the medical services available at the hospital and instructed officials to ensure that patients receive timely access to quality treatment, medications, and necessary amenities. He emphasized that the state government is committed to providing quality healthcare services to residents, ensuring that no patient faces difficulties due to lack of treatment.

Dhami reassured the families of patients, stating that if any issues arise, they can directly communicate their concerns to the government through District Magistrate Ashish Kumar Bhattgai. His warm demeanor and sensitivity fostered a sense of trust and satisfaction among the patients and their relatives present at the hospital.

On the social media platform X, the Chief Minister wrote, “I conducted a surprise inspection of the Pithoragarh District Hospital to assess the healthcare facilities, cleanliness, and treatment arrangements. I interacted with patients and their families to gather feedback on treatment, medications, and available services. I also inspected the medicine store to ensure the adequate availability of essential drugs. Additionally, I directed officials to ensure the availability of doctors, timely treatment, and quality healthcare services for every patient.”

The Chief Minister instructed officials to enhance hospital administration’s cleanliness, management, and responsive healthcare services, ensuring all necessary arrangements are in place for the convenience of patients and their attendants, thereby making health services more effective for the public good.

Earlier, Chief Minister Dhami inspected the newly developed sports facilities at the Surendra Valdiya Sports Stadium in Pithoragarh, reviewing the available resources and the progress of training and sports activities for athletes.

Present during the inspection were Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta, Hemraj Bisht, Chief Development Officer Dr. Deepak Saini, Chief Medical Officer Dr. S.S. Nabiya, among others.
