Uttar Pradesh to Celebrate Womens Honor During Navratri with Special Ceremonies
Uttar Pradesh will honor women during Navratri with special ceremonies on October 16-18, promoting education and respect for girls.

Lucknow, October 5 (Daily Kiran) : The Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair Organizing Committee in Uttar Pradesh has announced plans to celebrate the honor of women during the upcoming Navratri festival. From October 16 to 18, all prayer pandals, temples, and social organizations across the state will host ceremonies dedicated to the worship and veneration of young girls.
Regional Coordinator Amarnath emphasized that respecting women is not merely an idea but a deeply rooted value in Indian culture. He noted that Navratri, a festival dedicated to the worship of power, also serves as an opportunity to elevate the dignity and respect of women. The ceremonies aim to foster respect and positive attitudes towards daughters in society.
During Navratri, the nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped, symbolizing the reverence for female strength. It is essential to prioritize the safety, education, respect, and self-reliance of women and girls, promoting this spirit in social life.
The safety and dignity of half the population are directly linked to the overall well-being of society. When women are secure, respected, and self-sufficient, it strengthens the development of families, communities, and the nation.
Devotees of Sanatan Dharma around the world honor the nine forms of the divine during both Sharadiya and Vasantika Navratri. This spiritual tradition also serves as a reminder of society’s responsibility to respect women’s strength.
Notably, the main event of the Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair will take place from November 26 to 30 at Brijendra Swaroop Park in Kanpur. Prominent figures from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, government, and various social organizations are expected to attend. These ceremonies are part of a phased initiative to raise awareness throughout the state ahead of the major event.
