Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections 2027: BJPs Stronghold in Gautam Buddh Nagar District

Gautam Buddh Nagar, October 31 (Daily Kiran) : Political preparations are intensifying in Gautam Buddh Nagar district as the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections approach. The district, adjacent to Delhi-NCR, holds significant economic and social importance in the state’s political landscape.

Gautam Buddh Nagar comprises three assembly constituencies: Noida (61), Dadri (62), and Jewar (63). In the 2022 assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured all three seats. Currently, Pankaj Singh represents the Noida seat, while Tejpal Singh Nagar leads in Dadri. Dhirendra Singh is the sitting MLA for the Jewar constituency.

In the last elections, Pankaj Singh triumphed in Noida, defeating Samajwadi Party candidate Sunil Chaudhary by over 181,000 votes. Out of 714,072 registered voters, 70.16% cast their ballots for Singh, totaling 244,319 votes, while Chaudhary received 62,806 votes. The Bahujan Samaj Party’s Kripa Ram Sharma and Congress’s Pankhudi Pathak finished third and fourth, respectively, with 16,292 and 13,494 votes. A total of 13 candidates contested in this constituency.

In Dadri, Tejpal Singh Nagar defeated Samajwadi Party leader Rajkumar Bhati by more than 138,000 votes. The BJP candidate garnered 61.64% of the total votes, amounting to 218,068, while Bhati received 79,850 votes. Manbir Singh from the BSP and Deepak Kumar Bhati from Congress were third and fourth, respectively. Fourteen candidates competed for this seat in 2022.

Dhirendra Singh won the Jewar seat by over 56,000 votes, with more than half (55.53%) of voters choosing the BJP candidate. Singh received 117,205 votes, while Lok Dal’s Avtar Singh Bhadhana secured 60,890 votes. BSP’s Narendra Kumar and Congress’s Manoj received 45,256 and 3,200 votes, respectively. A total of 12 candidates ran for the Jewar seat in the last elections.
