Lucknow, September 23 (Daily Kiran) : The Uttar Pradesh government is rapidly advancing the digital and institutional expansion of AYUSH medical services. On Wednesday, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya launched the ‘AYUSH Clinical Establishment Registration System App’ during the 11th Ayurveda Day celebration in Lucknow. He emphasized the government’s commitment to establishing “One District-One AYUSH Medical College” to broaden AYUSH medical education and services across all districts.
Speaking at the event held at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Maurya highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, yoga and Ayurveda have gained significant global recognition. He stressed the importance of integrating traditional Indian medical practices with modern technology to provide quality healthcare services to the public.
Maurya noted that the National AYUSH Mission is continually expanding AYUSH Health and Wellness Centers and digital AYUSH services in the state. The new portal and registration app will make the registration of AYUSH medical institutions and clinics more transparent, swift, and accessible. This initiative aims to ensure that residents receive high-quality and authentic AYUSH medical services. He also referenced the success of the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, which connects AYUSH services with the broader healthcare system.
The Deputy Chief Minister underscored the vital role of yoga, Ayurveda, and Indian knowledge traditions in building a healthy society alongside modern medicine. He pointed out that the disciplined lifestyle and rich knowledge traditions of India contribute to the recognition of Indian doctors, engineers, and entrepreneurs abroad. Maurya called for promoting yoga and Ayurveda as part of the country’s heritage on a larger scale.
Before the main event, he toured an AYUSH exhibition and underwent health checks using modern diagnostic machines developed under the ‘Make in India’ initiative, assessing 150 health parameters. He inaugurated the program by paying homage to the statue of Lord Dhanvantari and lighting a lamp. The event also featured awards and certificates for teachers and students excelling in yoga, slogan writing, and painting competitions.
In his address, Maurya encouraged participants to adopt a balanced diet, yoga, and regular exercise as the foundation for a healthy life, stating, “A healthy body is the greatest treasure.” He urged the people of Uttar Pradesh to embrace a healthy lifestyle and integrate it into their daily routines.
