Mumbai, May 12: Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela has adopted a fresh perspective regarding her career. In a recent interview, she expressed that her current priority is not to seek validation or compliments from others, but to engage in projects that hold genuine meaning and evoke emotions.
Speaking about her journey, Urvashi stated, “In the beginning, gaining recognition is crucial for every artist, but recognition alone is not everything. If a project lacks authenticity and emotion, it won’t resonate with audiences for long. I believe true success is what endures over time and touches the hearts of viewers.”
She emphasized, “I no longer want superficiality in my career. I am now on the lookout for films that convey messages and raise awareness among audiences.”
Urvashi began her cinematic journey in 2013 with the film “Singh Saab the Great,” where she starred alongside actor Sunny Deol. This marked her first significant film, which helped her gain recognition in Bollywood. Since then, she has appeared in various films, showcasing her versatility in different roles.
Currently, she is in the spotlight for “Inspector Avinash Season 2,” where she will portray the character Poonam Mishra.
Discussing her role, Urvashi shared, “In this season, my character is not just a supportive wife; she is someone who is enduring a lot internally. The primary emotion of my character is ‘survival in silence,’ meaning she fights against circumstances without making noise or displaying her feelings.”
She added, “In crime dramas, people often focus on violence, power, and action, but the real story lies in the fear and loneliness that lurk beneath. My character embodies emotional solitude and the continuous struggle to maintain safety. This is why portraying this role has been a unique experience for me.”
Urvashi noted, “What drew me most to this character were the emotions. She moves forward with restraint, thoughtfulness, and patience. True strength is not always about speaking loudly or fighting; sometimes, managing situations quietly is the greatest strength. This aspect makes the character special.”
“Inspector Avinash Season 2” will stream on Jio Hotstar starting May 15, 2026.
