The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has officially started the online registration process for the recruitment of 7996 Lekhpal posts. Candidates eager to secure a government job in Uttar Pradesh can now apply through the official website upsssc.gov.in.

This recruitment drive aims to fill thousands of vacant positions in the Revenue Department as Lekhpal. The distribution of posts includes 3205 for the unreserved category, 1679 for Scheduled Castes, 160 for Scheduled Tribes, 2158 for Other Backward Classes, and 792 for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
Applicants are advised to complete their registration well before the deadline of 28 January 2026 to avoid last-minute technical issues or heavy website traffic.
Only candidates who have cleared the UPSSSC PET exam and possess a valid scorecard are eligible to apply. The PET score will be used to shortlist candidates for the main written examination.
Regarding educational qualifications, candidates must have passed the 12th standard (Intermediate) from a recognized board.
The age limit for applicants is between 18 and 40 years. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other reserved categories.
The application process includes visiting the official UPSSSC website, using the ‘Candidate Registration’ link, and logging in with the PET registration number. Candidates must provide personal details, upload a photograph and signature, and pay the prescribed application fee. After completing the application, it is important to take a printout for future reference.
The selection for the Lekhpal posts will primarily be based on the written examination. Only candidates shortlisted through the PET score will be eligible to appear for the main exam. The Lekhpal position offers not only job stability but also an opportunity to contribute to rural development in Uttar Pradesh.
This recruitment is a significant opportunity for youth aspiring to join the Uttar Pradesh government. Candidates are encouraged to register and complete their applications promptly.
