Lucknow, May 23: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has issued an official notification inviting applications for a total of 295 positions under the Platoon Commander/Block Organizer main examination 2026. This recruitment is for 52 Platoon Commander positions and 243 Block Organizer positions, managed by the Home Guards Headquarters in Lucknow.
Among the 243 Block Organizer positions, there are 98 unreserved, 48 for Scheduled Castes, 2 for Scheduled Tribes, 71 for Other Backward Classes, and 24 for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). For the 52 Platoon Commander roles, the distribution includes 23 unreserved, 11 for Scheduled Castes, 1 for Scheduled Tribes, 12 for Other Backward Classes, and 5 for EWS.
The online application process for these 295 vacancies will commence on June 16 and will close on July 6. Candidates interested in applying can complete their registration on the official commission portal once the link is activated. Additionally, a correction window for applicants who make mistakes while filling out the application will be available until July 13.
Candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognized institution, board, or university. The minimum age for applicants is set at 21 years, while the maximum age limit is 40 years, with age relaxation applicable for candidates from reserved categories.
While filling out the application form, all candidates are required to pay a processing fee of ₹25 online. Selection will be based on the standardized scores from the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025), followed by the main written examination, physical standards, physical efficiency tests, and a merit list. The monthly salary for selected candidates will range from ₹29,200 to ₹92,300 for Block Organizers and ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 for Platoon Commanders.
