Lucknow, March 30 : The English examination of the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board of Class 12 was cancelled in 24 districts on Wednesday after the question paper was leaked in Ballia. The examination was scheduled to be held in the second shift from 2 pm. But had to called off. Now the examination will be held on April 13 in the first half — between 8 am to 11.15 am, a government spokesman said. He also said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a serious cognizance of the incident and Ballia’s District Inspector of School (DIOS) Brijesh Kumar Mishra has been suspended with immediate effect. “In addition to this a Special Task Force (STF) has been directed to probe the paper leak. “Action could be taken under National Security Act (NSA) against who so ever is found guilty for the paper leak,” the spokesman said. The English exam has been cancelled in Ballia, Etah, Baghpat, Badaun, Sitapur, Kanpur Dehat, Lalitpur, Chitrakoot, Pratapgarh, Gonda, Azamgarh, Agra, Varanasi, Mainpuri, Mathura, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Shamli, Shahjahanpur, Unnao, Jalaun, Mahoba, Ambedkar Nagar and Varanasi. Director Education and Chairman of the Board, Vinay Pandey, said keeping in view the possibility of series 316 E D and 316 E I question paper leak, the examination had to be cancelled. He said that examination of English subject continue as per schedule in the remaining districts. AB ING
