UP Lekhpal Main Exam: Candidates Enter After Strict Security and Biometric Verification

Lucknow, May 21: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) conducted the Lekhpal main exam on Thursday from 10 AM to 12 PM in a single session. To ensure fairness and prevent cheating, stringent security measures were implemented across the state.

Candidates were granted entry to examination centers only after undergoing biometric verification, document checks, and thorough searches. A significant number of candidates arrived to take the exam in various districts, including Prayagraj, Hardoi, Ghazipur, and Basti. The Lekhpal exam commenced peacefully in many districts of UP. In Hardoi, a total of 3,792 candidates participated across nine examination centers. The administration maintained strict security protocols, including document verification and intensive checks at all centers.

Vishwanath Mishra, a manager at an examination center in Prayagraj, stated that candidates were being allowed entry in a phased manner. Initially, security checks were conducted, followed by biometric attendance. He emphasized that the government stressed the prohibition of any electronic devices in the examination hall.

One candidate from Prayagraj remarked that the verification process was well-organized. The government’s aim is to conduct the exam fairly and smoothly, hence no electronic items, including digital watches, were permitted inside. Another candidate expressed satisfaction with the facilities and noted that entry was granted only after biometric checks.

A candidate from Mirzapur mentioned that students arrive fully prepared for the exam. He was confident in his preparation but acknowledged that the results would ultimately determine success. Another candidate echoed this sentiment, stating that while preparation was complete, the final verdict would come after the results.

In Ghazipur, the Lekhpal recruitment exam was held at 21 centers, with approximately 8,700 candidates participating. Here too, candidates were allowed entry only after their admit cards were checked and verified.

A female candidate from Basti shared that she arrived for the exam with her father. Despite the intense heat, she faced no difficulties reaching the center, which is conveniently located on the main road. She also expressed confidence in her preparation.
