UP Chief Minister Highlights Transformation Over Nine Years
CM Yogi Adityanath emphasizes safety, encouragement, and sports facilities in Uttar Pradeshs transformation over the past nine years.

Lucknow, October 16 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asserted that Uttar Pradesh has undergone a significant transformation in the past nine and a half years. He stated that fear has been replaced by security, neglect by encouragement, and a lack of resources by the expansion of sports facilities.
On the sixth day of Shardiya Navratri, CM Yogi described Goddess Katyayani as a symbol of women’s indomitable courage, unwavering resolve, and unmatched valor. In a post on social media platform X, he remarked, “Goddess Katyayani embodies the indomitable spirit, unwavering determination, and unmatched valor of women, who vanquish all obstacles and demonic tendencies.”
He further elaborated on the situation before 2017, when fear and chaos prevailed in the state, stifling the dreams and aspirations of daughters. He noted that sports fields were under the control of mafias, resources were scarce, and instead of allowing daughters to soar, their dreams were confined within walls.
In the last nine and a half years, Yogi emphasized that a new chapter of change has been written in the state. He highlighted the development of sports infrastructure, from village playgrounds and block-level mini stadiums to district stadiums, divisional sports colleges, and the Major Dhyan Chand Sports University in Meerut. This growth has provided girls with a robust platform to showcase their talents.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that Olympic, Commonwealth, and Asian Games medalists are now receiving substantial rewards under the “Bring Medals, Get Jobs” initiative, which aims to encourage athletes, honor their achievements, and secure their futures.
He noted that the impact of this transformation is resonating on international sports platforms. Athletes such as Parul Chaudhary, Priyanka Goswami, Prachi Chaudhary, and Annu Rani in athletics, Asmita Day in judo, and Deepti Sharma and Meghna Singh in cricket have elevated the pride of both the country and the state through their remarkable performances in the Commonwealth and Asian Games.
