Uncertainty over Ghaziabad meat shops amid Navratri/Ramzan

Ghaziabad, April 2 : Confusion prevails over opening of meat shops in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad as the m cipal corporation on Saturday amended its earlier order regarding closure of shops during Navratri. Mayor Asha Sharma issued an order that Nagar Swasthya Adhikari (NSA) of Ghaziabad M cipal Corporation Mithilesh Kumar Singh, has been directed to get all meat shops closed during Navaratri from Saturday to April 10. However, on Saturday the mayor issued one more order superseding the other one, and stating the m cipal body has been directed only to implement the instructions issued by the Yogi Adityanath government, which has categorically said no such orders about closure has been issued as the Ramzan month also started on the day. Additional Chief Secretary (Information) Navneet Sehgal told that no order regarding closure of meat shops during Navratri has been issued by the state government. “Ghaziabad M cipal Corporation has issued an order in this regard, but that is not from the state government,” he said.
