New Delhi, May 12: The political landscape in Tamil Nadu has ignited once again over remarks made by opposition leader and former minister Udhayanidhi Stalin. BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has sharply criticized Stalin’s comments regarding Sanatan Dharma.
Brij Bhushan stated that individuals like Udhayanidhi Stalin are descendants of Ravana and Hiranyakashyap. He also addressed allegations made by wrestler Vinesh Phogat.
In an interview with a news agency, Brij Bhushan remarked, “People like Udhayanidhi Stalin are indeed descendants of Ravana and Hiranyakashyap. Sanatan is the ultimate truth, and it cannot be erased.”
He emphasized that Sanatan Dharma has faced challenges throughout history, including in the current age of Kali Yuga. “This has always been a battle between demonic and divine forces. Some individuals may persist, but they will soon be eradicated,” he added.
Udhayanidhi Stalin, the son of DMK chief M.K. Stalin, has expressed the need to eliminate Sanatan, which he claims fosters discrimination among people.
When questioned about the allegations from wrestler Vinesh Phogat, Brij Bhushan responded that he is currently addressing those claims, as the matter is in court. “Where wrestling will take place is not my concern; it is currently an issue for the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI),” he stated.
He further noted that, having served as the president of the WFI for an extended period, he can assure that the federation does not prevent any athlete from competing. “If someone has been stopped, there must be a valid reason for it,” he concluded.
