Udaipur Police Bust Prostitution Racket at Hotel Oxo Inn, 12 Arrested Including Foreign Nationals

Udaipur : In a major crackdown on illegal activities, Udaipur’s Savina Police have busted an active prostitution racket being run at Hotel Oxo Inn located in Sector 13. Under the direction of Udaipur Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal and supervision of senior officers, a decoy operation was carried out on Thursday, resulting in the arrest of seven men and five women, including individuals from Delhi, Raipur (Jharkhand), and Nepal.

Operation Details and Legal Action

The raid was led by Traffic Deputy Superintendent Ashok Anjana and Station House Officer Ajay Singh Rao along with the Savina Police team. The operation was part of an ongoing campaign to curb illicit activities across the city. The accused have been booked under various sections (3, 4, 5, and 6) of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, and a formal FIR has been registered.

Authorities confirmed that further investigations are underway to determine how long the accused have been involved in such activities and to identify other possible accomplices in the prostitution ring.

Names of Arrested Accused:

  1. Mukesh Kumar Meena (25) Resident of Padarda village, Salumber district

  2. Bhavesh Joshi (27) Resident of Bhanda village, Bawalwada, Udaipur

  3. Rajesh Kumar Sad (42) Resident of Sadwada, Dungarpur

  4. Nathuram Patel (41) Resident of Ward No. 5, Dungarpur

  5. Yashpal Vaishnav (27) Resident of Shiv Colony, Pratapnagar, Udaipur

  6. Bapulal Patel (52) Resident of Patel Wada, Bori, Dungarpur

  7. Jayesh Bhatia (34) Resident of Thana, Dungarpur

The five arrested women were reportedly brought in from Delhi, Jharkhand, and Nepal, and were allegedly being exploited in the operation.
