New Delhi, February 17: The Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested two main suspects in a sensational murder case that occurred in the Adarsh Nagar area. This murder was the result of a conflict between two groups of young men from the locality.

The incident took place on February 12 at around 1:30 PM when Gaurav, a resident of JJ Colony in Bhalswa, reported that he had gone to the Azadpur Mandi with his friend Rehan Raj, who lives in Bhalswa Dairy, to buy clothes.

While they were at the market, they were confronted by Sameer, Chirag, Rohit, and another associate, all residents of Bhalswa Dairy, who attacked them with knives. The attackers had a previous enmity with the victims. During the assault, the suspects repeatedly stabbed Rehan and Gaurav, threatening their lives.

Both victims were rushed to a hospital in Jahangirpuri, where Rehan succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

According to a police statement, based on specific and reliable information, a team from the Special Cell, led by Inspector Puran Pant and supervised by ACP (NR) Rahul Kumar Singh, apprehended the two main suspects. They have been identified as Chirag alias Chiku alias Chiru and Rohit Kumar alias Bala. The suspects were arrested near Ganda Nala Road on the Outer Ring Road in Bhalswa.

During extensive questioning, it was revealed that there had been ongoing disputes between the two groups of young men from the same area, leading to repeated clashes. Holding onto this animosity, Chirag conspired with Rohit, Sameer, and Yash to eliminate Rehan.

On February 12, 2026, the suspects followed Gaurav and Rehan, intercepted them near the Azadpur Mandi, and attacked them with knives. Believing Rehan would not survive, they fled the scene. The next day, they learned that Rehan had died from his injuries.
