Kabul : A powerful bomb blast killed two people and injured 12 others in front of the Foreign Ministry office here on Monday afternoon.
The blast resulted in dense smoke and flames emanating from the place. The area also has several commercial establishments.
The fire brigade immediately reached the spot and brought the fire under control. The blast occurred in a car parked outside a trade centre. Several vehicles parked in the area were damaged in the blast. Two dead bodies were recovered from the place. Twelve others including a child were injured.
They were immediately taken to a local hospital. The condition of some of the injured is stated to be critical. The possibility of casualties is likely to increase.
