Mumbai, May 12: The comedy-drama film ‘Heer Sara and Puducherry,’ starring Patralekha and Manvi Gagroo, is set to hit theaters soon. The film’s makers released the trailer on Tuesday.
Directed by Kartik Chaudhary, the movie tells the story of two women on a journey of self-discovery and freedom. Patralekha portrays a female biker in a role never seen before, while Manvi Gagroo describes her character as “confident and cheerful.”
In this film, Patralekha will be seen in a new light. She plays a fearless bike rider with a passion for travel. Her character dreams of starting a travel startup run by women, embodying the spirit of freedom, dreams, and living life on one’s own terms.
The trailer showcases the journey of Heer (Manvi Gagroo) and Sara (Patralekha), who face challenging times in their lives. To escape societal pressures and their past, they embark on a transformative trip to Puducherry.
Manvi shared her thoughts on her character, saying, “When I first read the script, it felt easy and light-hearted. What attracted me the most was that, despite its simplicity, the story is emotionally impactful. Heer is a girl who doesn’t overthink but knows what is right and wrong for her. She is confident and lives happily and comfortably in her life. That’s what I loved most about her character.”
The film is produced by Megha Creations (Dinesh Soni), Next Level Productions (Neeraj Ruhil and Subhav Sharma), and Opticus Inc., with support from Sony Music India. The cast also includes Arif Zakaria, Nishank Verma, and Shweta Salve in significant roles. ‘Heer Sara and Puducherry’ is scheduled for release on May 29, 2026.
