Two Children Killed, 28 Injured in Tragic Road Accident in Pali

Pali, October 18 (Daily Kiran): A tragic road accident late Friday night claimed the lives of two children and left 28 passengers injured in Rajasthan’s Pali district. The incident took place near the Gajangarh toll on the Rohat highway around 2 a.m.

According to police, a private bus travelling from Pratapgarh to Jaisalmer lost control and crashed into a road divider. Several passengers sustained serious injuries in the impact. Upon receiving the information, Rohat police rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to Bangar Hospital in Pali.

Doctors at the hospital had been alerted in advance, and treatment began immediately after the injured arrived. Among the deceased was a one-year-old girl, Divya, from Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. Witnesses said the collision was so severe that the child suffered fatal head injuries, leaving her parents inconsolable.

Another victim, seven-year-old Sona from Khetpaliya in Madhya Pradesh, died after glass shards pierced her chest. Senior officials, including the ADM of Pali and SDM Vimlendra Singh Ranawat, visited the hospital to check on the injured and assess the situation.

Passengers told police they had repeatedly urged the driver to slow down, but he ignored their warnings. Following the accident, the driver fled the spot.

The bus was carrying around 40 passengers at the time of the crash. Traffic on the highway was briefly disrupted but was later cleared by police.
